Christmas 2012!!

Oh my goodness Christmas was so much fun this year! I wasn't sure how Hailey would deal with it since she just got over that cold (and the crankiness with it) and she is now getting some new teeth including a new one today and a couple of molars coming in. Last year she was just a few weeks old so that didn't really count although we did unwrap a few gifts with her :)
Christmas eve right before her bed time, we skyped with nana and papa, and her aunties and uncles. This is a tradition as we always would open gifts at midnight. We wanted Hailey to open at least one for them so I made a Christmas Eve gift to open, and will do so every year from now on! The box included: a pair of pj's, a Christmas book, a Christmas teddy (2012) and some hot chocolate for mom and dad...as time goes I plan to include other things that she can partake in as well :) She was fascinated with this!

After webcam we left some cookies and milk for Santa and well...Hailey decided she'd help herself!

Christmas morning was awesome! For one Hailey slept til 8 am! Well, she briefly woke at 5:30 talking and singing to herself but then went back to bed. She has been sleeping through again since she has been sick..but I was a bit worried with her teeth coming in..but...I guess she was being good for Santa! I then brought her out to see what Santa had left her! We had our traditional cinnamon rolls and watched her open some gifts. After about two of them she caught on that there was something cool inside! (Aside of the fact that the wrapping paper was cool in itself) We skyped with her grammy, grampy, auntie Alyssa and her great grammy. It was so fun to see her happy and excited!  (We don't have many pics of this because we filmed most of it instead)

After, we had turkey dinner. She had a great appetite eating turkey and all the fixings.  Mom and dad had cake after too :)

Christmas Traditions

I haven't written anything in a while since Hailey has been so sick. She is a bit better now and not coughing as much. So I'm pretty happy about that!

Last year at Christmas time we went for a walk down by the quay and discovered these Christmas trees. She was only a few weeks old so didn't know the difference. This year she seems to at least like looking at them!

We went to Park and Tilford Gardens last year as well to look at the lights. So of course we did it again this year!

Today was fun. Finally a day off with my little monkey and we just had some Christmas fun. I am done everything else for Christmas so it was nice to just relax with her. We put on some Christmas music and baked cookies and made paper snow flakes!

Santa!

We took Hailey to see Santa. We didn't go last year as she was still so little, so this is her first Santa visit! She did great :)

1st birthday!

I can't believe Hailey is now a 1 year old! Insane. It's amazing how last year at this time we were bringing home this tiny little baby!

We had a party at our place for her and invited some of her little friends. There was a big turn out for our small place but I think she had a lot of fun. We spent the evening before decorating..

Most of the decorations were put together from dollar store items except the balloons and Mickeymouse  clubhouse party supplies were reduced price at Walmart! 

 I made this Happy Birthday banner on the mirror with card stock from Dollar store and my printer!

After everyone left we skyped with the grandmas, grandpas and aunties while she opened some gifts.

 She likes her new bling! Her charm bracelet tradition I started with her.

Weight: 20 lbs. 

Height: 30 inches

Foods: 3 meals a day plus 2 snacks, pretty much everything.

She hasn't been doing much of anything lately being sick. She slept a lot last week. She seems back to her normal self so is becoming a bit more active again. She can't walk yet, but will take steps while I hold her hands.
